Hi, I’m Lauryn…

I qualified as a primary school teacher in July 2006 and have worked in various local schools. I started working in FE (Further Education) in September 2008 and qualified as a Dyslexia Specialist Tutor in 2012 and then as an Assessor is 2014. In July 2021 I decided to leave my job and focus solely on Dyslexia by the Sea.

I hold a Level 5 Post Graduate Certificate in Dyslexia and Literacy (University of York) and a Level 7 Post Graduate Diploma in SpLD (Leicester University) and can screen and assess learners for Dyslexia and co-occurring difficulties, whilst making suitable referrals to specific professionals, if required.  

I understand from both first-hand experience and academic study, the strengths and weaknesses of dyslexia. This has only made me more passionate to help dyslexic individuals to unlock their enormous potential.
